4-6 russet potatoes (peeled) Idahos are best!
1 stick butter
Salt & pepper
Slice potatoes lengthwise into thick slices.
Place in glass baking dish or roasting pan sprayed with cooking spray (Pam®)
Generously sprinkle with salt.
Add a couple dashes of pepper and a stick of butter. (You can add other seasonings of your choice such as red pepper flakes or paprika.)
Bake at 400º about an hour or fork tender, turning every 15 min to baste and brown nicely.
