Vanilla Ice-Cream (scooped into pretty serving dishes)
1 16oz can pilled Dark Cherries (drain & reserve syrup)
1/4 cup sugar
2 Tbls. corn starch "or" 4 Tbls. flour
1/4 cup brandy
In small saucepan, mix together sugar & cornstarch.
Stir in reserved syrup "slowly".
Place pan on medium-high
heat and stir until thick & bubbly.
Add cherries. Keep warm!
Heat brandy in small saucepan until hot or in oven-proof dish in microwave on high for 1-2 minutes.
Pour over cherries and light with long match or fireplace lighter.
Serve immediately over scoops of vanilla ice-cream.
