Recipe adapted from Gina, my favorite Italian Grandma - Buon-A-Petitti

I made my first batch with 1/2 cup sugar as she does, but I wanted my breads to taste like the Portuguese Sweet Bread I had growing up. So I increased the sugar in the recipe and to the egg wash in the 2nd batch, and it was perfect.

This Bread tastes very similar to the King's Hawaiian Bread®, but denser in texture. It is great toasted for breakfast with a little butter and jam.
