1 lb butter 2 cups sugar
1 cup sliced almonds
1 lb milk chocolate (melted)
1 lb finely chopped almonds
In large deep heavy weight pan or kettle on a med-high burner, melt butter with sugar and almonds.
Cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
When candy starts to turn color of peanut butter, remove to one side of stove and test a few drops in ice-cold water; should be crisp!
If not cook more.
Pour into buttered 12x8” pan.
Cut into candy-sized pieces while still warm.
When candy cools completely, dip candy pieces in melted chocolate, and roll in chopped nuts.
Makes 100 pieces!
