1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cream of tarter
1 cup margarine or butter (2 sticks)
1 cup vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla
4 cups + 4 Tbls sifted flour
1 tsp baking soda
Cream together 1st eight ingredients.
Add flour and soda.
Mix until well blended.
Chill several hours or overnight. Roll into walnut sized balls.
Dip in sugar.
Flatten with glass bottom which has been buttered and dipped in sugar.
Keep dipping glass in sugar for each cookie. Re-butter if necessary.
Bake on un-greased cookie sheets 10-12 minutes at 350º (or just until cookies are ever-so-slightly browned around the edges).
